From Delta Zone of resistance highs to tracked Delta Threshold level lows and another SHORT covering close

The S&P500 Emini trades for a while in the Delta Zone at 1013 to 1016 area of price before a hard run all the way down to the Delta Threshold tracked 992′s level. All the previous held LONG inventory which made up the “layered” support for the 992 to 989 area of price was neutralized with Friday’s selling. Not until very late in the day did some buying interest finally enter back into the market with equities BUY program activity. Buyers made a decent push to activate a SHORT covering run of price back to the 1006 level into the final close. Even with a close back up to the 1006 area on Friday, I would not be surprised to see additional market weakness return next week.

The S&P500 Emini has a very active after hour session that led into a day of continued strength by the close

Exceptionally active initiated buying drove the ES back to the Delta Zone of resistance in the after hours session. The next market swing had sellers take control with a down trending run of the range for a low of 998.00 achieved. The rest of the trade day had price work the range back to the upper levels of resistance. Finally, right into the last few minutes before the cash session close there was a short covering rally back into the Delta Zone of resistance. It should be very apparent at this point how the current range of price in getting “worked” over these past days, expect more!

ES sells off all day long with numerous levels of resting inventory neutralized

The S&P500 Emini traded lower after a decent showing in the after hours session of the 1010.75 level traded. Any signs of potential strength prior to the US cash session open seemed to vaporize after the mornings pre market economic numbers news release. Once the US cash session opened, the building market weakness continued as sellers held market control for almost the entire day. Today, several near term layered Cumulative Delta inventory support levels I had been tracking were completely neutralized. Oh, and by the way, there was not any massive SHORT covering rally into today’s close….not a chance!

The ES slowly drifted lower much of the day and then ends the day with a SHORT covering blast

The ES traded in a lazy tight range out of the open today with a 1007.75 high until some sell response took over the price action for a slow grind down to the 998.25 level. The 998/999 levels attracted some buyers right after an indexed Delta Threshold I was tracking had been neutralized. It is not abnormal to see an order flow transition event right after a ‘layered” support level within the tracked Delta Volume Distribution is taken out. Buyers slowly built momentum into the final part of the day which ended with a 1007′s run fueled by massive SHORT covering. If today was a game, SELLERS won the first half and BUYER won the second half.
